studio Onboarding

Welcome to Parlor!

We're excited to have you join our team of industry professionals and entrepreneurs. Below are some best practices for onboarding to insure a smooth transition to Parlor and Studio Life!

Step 1: Sign Agreement & Get Keys

  • Review our agreement and rules page for an overview. https://www.parlorsalonstudios.com/lease 

  • We'll send you an invite to digitally sign our Parlor agreement from our platform TenantCloud.com

  • Once signed, we'll schedule a time to obtain a set of your studio keys.

Step 2: Apply for Certificate of Occupancy

  • Lafayette Parish and City of Broussard require a certificate of occupancy to operate (approximately $50 to $100 one time fee).

  • Location Addresses:

    • Before you start, make sure you check the address of the Parlor Location you're applying for:

      • Parlor Headquarters - 1103 Ambassador Caffery Lafayette, LA 70506​

      • Parlor Ambassador - 1105 Ambassador Caffery Lafayette, LA 70506 (connected to State Farm Building)

      • Parlor Parc Lafayette - 1921 Kaliste Saloom, Suite 113 Lafayette, LA 70508

      • Parlor Broussard - 403 E. Main Street  Broussard, LA 70518

    • Create an account at https://www.mgoconnect.org/cp/portal​

    • On the main page, click the "Apply for Certificate of Occupancy" button

    • Follow prompts and fill out your insurance. Click here for sample guide:

  • Once you submit, the Fire Marshall will schedule a routine inspection at your studio. (Just a formality).​

Step 3: Schedule Board Inspection

  • Depending on the services you offer, complete an application with Board of Cosmetology or Department of Health for your corresponding industry license.

  • Schedule inspection.

Step 4: Move In - Studio Life

Things to consider:

  • Think about your overall decor and the vibe you want for your space and customers.​

  • Before you order additional furniture or cabinets, measure the space to see what will fit.

  • Organize your studio to be clutter free and functional. Google for ideas or consult with your Studio neighbors.

Step 5: Setup Rent Payments

Step 6: Complete Tenant Profile for Website. - Takes 2 minutes

Step 7: Increase Sale Opportunities

  • Review all the services you can provide and your prices by having your own Studio.

  • Think about setting up retail products to sell to increase your revenue.

  • Review your social media accounts, create your brand and post regularly. 

Step 8: Elevate Your Parlor Studio Door Brand

  • Tenants are allowed to place their logo or the name of their business on their studio door.

  • Strictly enforced brand standards:

    • One Approved Color: Matte Black or Flat Black (no other colors can be in the logo or name).

    • Size: logo not to exceed 16 inch x 16 inch when installed.

    • Any violations of not adhering to above branding standards will result in removable at tenants expense.
